Major League Soccer kicked off its season over the weekend and it didn’t disappoint on action. Below are some of the happenings:

Forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped the LA Galaxy win their opener against the Chicago Fire with a beautiful header off his 16-year-old teammate Efrain Alvarez.

The Colorado Rapids and Portland Timbers played to a 3-3 draw in the coldest game in MLS history on Saturday night. Temperatures were recorded at – 18°F.

FC Cincinnati made their debut in MLS but lost 4-1 to the Seattle Sounders.

D.C. United defeated Atlanta United 2-0 on Sunday night. Luciano Acosta added a goal and an assist, as one of the biggest stories of the offseason was his near transfer to Paris Saint Germain.

LAFC wrapped things up with a dramatic late winner from Adama Diomande in extra time.
