White Sox’s Kenny Williams Expresses Shock And Disbelief Over Manny Machado Deal


Chicago White Sox Executive Vice President Kenny Williams expressed shock and disbelief over Manny Machado’s reported 10-year deal for $300 million with the San Diego Padres.

“I’m wearing my shades so you can’t see the shock in my eyes,” Williams said via James Fegan.

Williams explained the White Sox felt they were the high offer on the table and could have not have went to $300 million.

“Evidentially that’s what it took and San Diego stepped up to that level,” said Williams via Fegan. “That level wasn’t feasible to us because we still have to project putting together a total winning roster.”
