NFL Suspends David Irving Indefinitely

Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving has been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL’s Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, has confirmed.

The suspension comes just days after Irving’s teammate Randy Gregory was suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Irving, 25, was an impending free agent and the Cowboys did not intend to re-sign him. Like Gregory, Irving has had a troubling history to his short career as he was banned for the first four games of both the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

In addition to sitting out with a suspension, ankle issues limited him to just two games in 2018.
