Mark Stone Traded To Vegas Golden Knights, Signs 8-Year Extension


The Ottawa Senators traded Mark Stone to the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday, according to Bruce Garrioch of TSN.

In exchange, the Senators received Erik Brannstrom, Oscar Lindberg and a 2020 second-round draft pick.

Stone was on an expiring contract and reportedly agreed to an eight-year extension with the Golden Knights worth $9.5 million annually.

Stone has played in 59 games for the Senators this season and has scored 28 goals to go with 34 assists. He was believed to be the biggest name on the NHL trade market.
