Former No. 1 Pick Markelle Fultz Traded To Orlando Magic

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading guard Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Jonathon Simmons, a first-round and a second-round pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Wojnarowski reports that Orlando Magic president Jeff Weltman and General Manager John Hammond consider Fultz a low-risk, high-reward option. The guard will be viewed as a long-term project that coach Steve Clifford will be tasked with developing, according to Woj.

Fultz, who was the top pick in the 2017 NBA draft, has only played in three games this season due to thoracic outlet syndrome. He only played in 17 games during his rookie season.
