Eagles Won’t Tag Nick Foles, Will Become Free Agent

The Philadelphia Eagles are not tagging quarterback Nick Foles, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Folks will be allowed to become a free agent and leave Philadelphia.

“We’ve spent a lot of time discussing this internally and with him,” Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman told reporters via NFL.com, “and we’ve decided to let Nick [Foles] become a free agent.”

Folks, 30, becoming a free agent drastically changes the market for teams looking to sign a quarterback. He becomes the highest-profile free-agent QB for teams looking to sign a new signal caller when the new league year begins on March 13.
